Your stay at Olinto wouldn’t be complete without a visit to our hammam.
Massage and herbal cures are part of the Berber culture, and we integrate traditional methods into our treatments. Please ask at reception for more details.

Marigha hike
Minimum participants: 2 adults
2.5 hours
You will picked up by your guide from Olinto and taken to the village of Laazib and en route you will hear stories of the local culture and daily life.
Depending on your pace, you will either enjoy the longer route through the forest or shorter route through the village itself. Either route will take you to the local salt mines.
Here you will hear more about how the local villagers have mastered the technique of salt production from the deep wells. You will also hear about the Jewish influence on the industry.
You will then journey onto Marigha and admire the old Berber architecture and learn about the local way of life. If available, the guide will take you on visit to a local home where you can experience Berber rug making.
Makhelfou hike
Minimum participants: 2 adults
3.5 hours
You will picked up from Olinto and will start your hike, on foot, onto the village of Laazib whilst listening to stories about the local culture and admiring the authenticity of the local daily life.
You will then continue to La Bergerie where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Laazib.
After this, you will venture onto the Ouirgane valley where the stunning panoramic views await you. Your guide will explain the local flora and fauna found here as you walk.
The Makhelfou hill awaits you after this with a panoramic view over Ouirgane village and the Yaakoub Almansour dam. You will then continue onto the old salt mines, some of which are still in use. You will see how this industry still impacts the local people.
You will finish this hike through the Ammayn forest and bask in the cedar wood before you arrive back at Olinto for a well deserved glass of Moroccan tea.
Moul Anraz hike
Minimum participants: 2 adults
4 hours
Your guide will meet you at Olinto and take you on foot to Nag Shanti, a beautiful viewpoint where you can see all of Marigha, the village in which we are situated.
You will be informed of the history of the village whilst taking in the breathtaking views of the red clay hills.
You will then continue on to the village of Anraz, where you will see traditional Berber architecture and learn about the Jewish heritage of the local communities found within. Situated here is the synagogue of Haim Ben Diwane, its shrine and tombs of his disciples.
Your guide will then bring back to Olinto via the Dou Shanti shortcut.
Berber mountain excursion
Minimum participants: 2 adults
The adventure will start around 11 a.m. with a scenic drive through winding mountain passes revealing stunning, panoramic views. You’ll be accompanied by our knowledgeable English speaking guide.
After driving through the village of Imlil, you’ll head further up the mountain to Aremed village, the highest in the area.
On your way, you will have a chance to visit a waterfall, local vibrant markets and pass by charming stone houses, all the time interacting with the local community and experiencing their traditional way of life.
Once in Aremed, you’ll enjoy a savoury, traditional Berber meal at a local, family-run inn or as a picnic lunch―both offering breathtaking views―before heading back to Olinto.
Ourika Valley Day Trip
Minimum participants: 2 adults
Embark on a scenic road trip from Olinto to explore the Atlas Mountains with stops along the way to discover viewpoints, villages, incredible nature, and cultural gems.
Meet a local guide from Ourika valley and take a guided walk to the Sitti Fatma waterfalls, then have lunch as a local by the river.
Berber Cooking Class
Minimum participants: 2 adults
Our cooking class offers a unique experience set in the calm ambiance of our hotel’s garden or by the main pool.
Under the guidance of our skilled chef. The clients learn how to prepare a traditional Moroccan meal along with traditional bread making. After the hands-on cooking session, you will savour what you have made for a delightful lunch experience.
